Round 66 - New format experiment! Mar 16th, 2012

We are going to try something a little different in round 66. In addition to the extended tracking period of 6 weeks, Vsti's will be allowed, and you will have 4 to choose from. You can use any 2 of the 4 for your song. There is also a samplepack graciously provided by Justin Credible which includes many great drum sounds.
The vsti's you can choose from are:

Synth1

Dahornet

Crystal

TAL Noisemaker

If your software does not support vsti, don't worry - You can also sample out from your chosen 2 vsti's and then import them into your tracker. An easy way to do this is with the demo version of "Chainer" -

In addition to this, SunVox users will be allowed to use the SunVox internal Generators this round (Generator, FM Synth, Spectravoice, Drumsynth, Kicker). If you choose to use SunVox's internal generators, you will be limited to only using samples from 1 of the vsti's. If you use 2 vsti's, then you cannot use Sunvox's internal generators on your song. Please still refrain from using the SunVox effect "Vocal filter" as it is not standard among trackers.

Good luck, have fun, and get out there and make some excellent songs!

SDCompo now accepting Sunvox entries! Jan 30th, 2012

Beginning in Round 65, SDCompo will now accept entries from the modular tracker Sunvox. This free and cross-platform tracker is actively developed and has a growing base of users. Due to the nature of SDCompo and it being a multi-tracker competition, at this time Sunvox's internal generators will not be allowed in the competition (see the rules on upcoming round 65 for more info & a list of modules that are not allowed). However, there are still many possibilities for composition and sound shaping using samples and standard effects.

Welcome to the compo, Sunvox users!
