Just a fun piece, I hope you like it. Feedback is very welcome as always, particularly regarding the mixing.

Thanks :)

I am absolutely in love with the last minute-or-so of the tune. The modulations and eventual fadeout are AMAZING.

very calming and melodic. dig this shiz. mixing is top notch, though personal preference makes me want more drums...
but then again, don't listen to me. the emphasis in this song isn't on drumz. I just like drumz. :D
a mellow feeling pervades the entire song. nice job in how you keep it interesting throughout.

a dnb mix of this would be totally cool. ;)

Harmony is really on top of her game with this one. it's subtly evocative and thought provoking in a futuristic kind of way. the feel of it reminds me of landscapes imagined in such works as deus ex, bladerunner, etc. simple but effective percussion, great melodies and fine mixing lead to an impressive whole. although i'm never fond of the insanely long fadeouts...

the break at 2:10 is my favourite part... deep! and the way it kind of "plays around" at 2:50 and then finally leads back into the main part is awesome!

Woo, welcome back Harmony! Being a melody nut, this track is really appealing. The percussion is very solid and the little bleeps all sound great.
The transposition felt a little anticlimatic because of the great melodies and break leading up to it and then the transposition fading out ushering in a softer tone. I think a stronger transposition followed by a gradual fade out may have been more effective. Handling transpositions can be tricky. The music there is fantastic though. For the ending a splash ending might be interesting as opposed to a fade out.

I'm far from the best qualified to comment on mixing here at SDCompo but ill put in my 2 cents. The kick is nice and solid. The hihats are on the soft side, the snare especially soft. The bass seems like its swimming with the pads a bit. This is always tricky for me but to make space for the bass sometimes you have to drop down some of the frequencies in the pads. Beeps and panning sound great.

Criticism aside, you really have a great style and I always enjoy listening to your tunes. This one has exceptionally nice chords and melodies right from the start. I especially like the twitter of the melody accents. Great work and thanks for taking the time to enter!

To me, the melody/harmony work extremely well as-is. It's not an epic tune, and I don't feel it needs any added drama. The subtlety of the key changes is part of the beauty. When i listen closely to this tune from start to finish, I get a calming euphoric feeling at the end, not something that blows me away. It's a song to walk to, not dance to. I really like that; i think it's a unique and challenging accomplishment.

I agree there could be more use of percussion.

Fantastic piano melody and dark atmosphere the track is so real !

The playful, charming melody, gentle bass and subtle drum pattern got my mind successfully "defused". :) Thank you Harmony!

very nice. i love your progressions, and the way you can get such a rich legato sound from a staccato melody. layers just blend and shift, carrying so much - so nicely.

trademark Harmony Steel!
