Authors' Notes

A self indulgent and sloppily mixed tune. Time was short so the end is rushed and the mixing is lackluster. Ohh well, it's nice to have something longer than 2mins! I had fun with the samplepack and like the idea I went with.

The melody reminds me of Tales From the Crypt.
Cool tune... kept me interested all the way through.

It's nice to see you make it into the rounds.... I do not agree with your -Authors' Note- at all...
the theme is fun, the mixing is clear and has a special flair... especially in the begining.. (I think you spent too much effort tinkering with the mixing!)
and the beat is JUMBY(bumpy/jumpy) enough... cool... but the end is a cop-out.. cheesy! ;-) haha....

always good ones coming out of your head...

Hooray for non western scales! This is a fun tune. I can imagine all the arabians dancing in the club right now. :)
Nice to hear some exploration from you, Sonicade. It's got your distinct flavour but I can hear it branching out into other areas too. Well done on the production as always.
My favourite part are the ambient parts, lots of atmosphere. The ending's not bad actually. At least you didn't just end it abruptly with a final chord :)

can only listen to mp3 cos I'm not on my computer as it's broken.

hehe this is cool. the old harmonic minor scale coming out here, or am i wrong? i love the more ambient breaks. mix isnt as sloppy as you claim, love the filters you put on the drums in places. i absolutely loved the outro, until right at the end of it, not sure that slowdown really worked for me.

nice work tho, DJ 'cade. nice to have an entry from you.

Excellent production here 'cade. Loving the intro. Overall 'feel' of the tune. Feels nice and tight. All volume levels sound right. All instruments have their own space. Good use of panning on cymbals and toms.
Nice bassline that isn't too busy. My only real dislike is the dropped bpm outro. As agp said. Overall excellent :):)

Oh man, what monster have I created with this " 'Cade" stuff... :P

D'D'D'D' DJ CAAADE
ARRRrrRrRrRrRABIAN NIGHTS! *scratch scratch bass drop*

somebody needs to add that at the intro. :P
okok, kidding aside, this is a nice little tune. solid stuff. I pretty much enjoy the groove of the thing. changes in tempo this round seems more common than in other rounds... :o

aGp: yep, harmonic minor indeed.

io, you were referring to the refive tune at one stage of its development, weren't you? ;)

Slowed endings are a good effect when done right, just don't do it on all your tunes, okay? ;) Yes, this is well mixed.

You made the middle-eastern sounding tune with the snake sample so I wouldn't have to flesh out a crappy attempt I disposed of after two hours. Nice use of the guitar too.

This moves on nicely, makes nodding one's head.
Everything stands where they match and the entry does not long for vocal parts.
The slow-down in the end sounds real; a good reminder about this alternative in time when tapes are almost forgotten.

Full of Eastern promise and it delivers. It reminds me of a Blancmange song

Enough mixture of themes and ideas to keep you listening to the end

Man this is great mood and theme. Really love what you've done with the beat structure. I know you've been working on shit (even tho such lack of entries lately). And this track is proof-positive of it.

Very happy to hear you doing so well with music. :)
