Authors' Notes

I made this using the percussion samples provided in the SDC66 pack and both the TAL-NoiseMaker and Synth1 VSTs - thanks to those who put together these great tools!

This is my first attempt at entering a track for this comp - I hope I followed the rules and that I've made something of interest to people on here.

Hello! Welcome to the compo. Silesian Leaves is a really cool artist name.

The bassline in this reminds me of early house music. The drums are really punchy and well done. Overall the production is clean. I wouldn't mind hearing more melodic movement though or something else to spruce it up.

Good luck in the compo, and hope to hear some more songs from you.

Love the work on the percussion, very detailed and pleasant throughout the song.

All components of this song fit well together, vocals as well. But not sure about the phaser fx on the voice; I like the character it gives the voice but not the aggressive panning.

"Lead" should be quantized better I think; you can hear that it's not in rhythm sometimes.

Hi :)

Nice track - i liked especially the fx you did on the vocals.
The percussion is interesting and works well together with the vocals, but i would have liked a bit more variation here and there better, but that's a matter of taste.

Keep 'em coming :)

Suggestive and dreamy. The mix sounds fine and the stereo picture is great.
A bit hard style to grasp for me who is in for traditional harmonics.
Cool ending with the cymbal!

Reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLMGmJzp29Y in a certain sense, I like and respect this style, in part because I don't do it well enough myself. ;) I hope we get to hear more of it!

The delayed vox are nice, also I like the drums. Otherwise you could pause the bass riff at some points or vary it, it's a bit monotone after a while.
Hey, welcome to Compo :)

Welcome! This is pretty good..

The rhythm is a little too unhinged in the beginning and in places, but it eventually gets together, kind of. I like the sound though, a little odd, a little dark. The vocals remind me of David Lynch's "Noah's Ark", though this is more upbeat.

Pretty good use of the drum samples, but it starts to become a little too much by the end of the track, a bit more variation, or pushing them a bit further back in the mix might be nice. That, and the rhythm (coming before the beat easily feels unbalanced) are the only things I find out of place though. I quite like this one!

I also get a housey vibe from this... makes me want to go and jack, hehe. The rhythm, I feel, is appropriate for the track.

By the way, have a nice time here at SDC! :)
