Hi all. not much to say about this little creation.

Do you mind providing a direct download link for the mp3? I don't feel like providing my email to that site.

Just out of curiosity, but what's wrong with SDC's "Your File Bank"?

Comment by juolac on 2012-04-30 16:06:36

Hi! As I mentioned in the one-liner: Uploading gets stuck at 100% but never finishes. Had to find a desperate solution to not miss the deadline :-/
The upload progress bar goes up to 100% but wont disappear and the file will not be uploaded. Tried several times with different browsers.

In my file list there are also 46(!) text blocks like this:
"Warning: date() []: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings.
You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function.
In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier.
We selected 'America/Denver' for 'MDT/-6.0/DST' instead in /home/looprip0/public_html/upload/index.php on line 156"

Well this link is a bit better, goes to my google files - no need to enter your email or something but must click to download.

Listening to my late late night contribution makes me wonder if downloading this song is worth the effort..
Mixed it down to rubbish. There is also an empty song track I prepared but I omitted the song because it was embarassing :)

Hey juolac... Thanks for posting the alternate mp3 link. I also didn't want to give out my email address for the download link.

Listening to the song right now. I say "bah" to your comment about whether downloading the song is worth the effort -- This is really quite nice. A great melodic and bouncy flow to this. I especially like the lead that comes in about halfway through... Really nice harmonies and atmosphere here. The percussion is spot on as well for this genre.

Really well done. I like it!

Hey Joachim, I uploaded your tune to my ftp account, since google needs also credentials:

You're definitely the master of the dance floor. Love the punchy kick, the mid part and the arps/progression+ melody. Some minor issues and a weak / too short ending but otherwise great stuff with the highlights in the mid part. No rubbish mix IMO, maybe I would lower the reverb usage, but hey it's trancey and therefore needs it ! I really like the tune a lot, and that's most import to me - much more important than the polishing level

The chord progression here I think makes way for a vocal track or some other "soaring lead". Your "squeezelead" almost fits the bill, but the gating gets in the way imo. Though, props on the GATOR tracks; cool use of automation here.

The arpeggiated lead has a lot of nice moments and fits cleverly with the chords. Love the syncopation. But I think it loses its effect because it doesn't develop into anything. That could just be my ignorance of this style though.

Very high-quality sound. I don't know what you're talking about by "mixed down to rubbish". I hear nothing of the sort...

Mick wrote me back today and is going to take a look at fixing the filebank. I'll let you guys know once it's fixed!

wow this is a nice peace of music.
Very catchy melody and greatly produced.
I'm not sure, but maybe the mastering could have been a little bit more crisp.
All in all a very nice track - cool :)

always a pleasure to listen to your tracks... you could work on the mix and the arrangement, yes, but everything is in there, apart for a vocal track (really missing that i am), so all it needs is a bit of tweaking I think...
good work.

Thanks organic, that problem got me quite stressed I tell you :)
I was listening my mp3 after upload with my shitty cordless AKG headphones (which seems to have some automatic clip-ducking) and thought it sounded awfully. Was late night so I could not listen with my speakers.
Yup, I will keep tweaking on this for sure. There are far-reaching plans for swedish lyrics, too bad it's too high ppitched for me. Auto-tune perhaps? :)

Comment by chunter on 2012-05-05 17:34:52

This almost sounds like an Elwood track, it just needs a strong melodic lead.

Comment by CAG on 2012-05-06 23:01:50

Mmm, I like how everything fits together so nice. If anything, the song gets me destressed. :P I don't find much issue with the mixing personally.

Hehe, I almost missed this one cuz I didn't realize the mp3 I saved as wasn't an mp3 at all!
